If I could give Rob 10 stars I would. Super nice and most importantly knowledgeable. He works fast enough as to not trying to milk the clock but not too fast where the work won't be good. He explained what he was doing at each step amd was happy to answer any questions I had along the way. I had two issues with my computer, both were fixed and it is working beautifully. I can’t say enough about Rob. My computer was running as slow as molasses. It literally took over a minute to open a program. I ran every diagnostic and optimization application I could find. I had the Windows Auto Update button clicked on and was getting updates. So the next step was going to be to blow my brains out! Fortunately, Rob came to the rescue. He remotely took over my computer and began working magic. First, although Microsoft said Windows was up to date, it was actually years behind. He changed settings, deleted unneeded programs and processes, and pretty much did major surgery over the internet. My computer is running like new! The cost was a very reasonable $75.00. I would give him more stars if I could.

I emailed Rob last night, he responded a short time later, and came out to our house today. He completed a number of tasks in a timely manner, saving us from our weeklong computer nightmare. We had multiple problems: the two computers in our home had both recently stopped working, and one was stuck on a black screen. I wasn't sure if either would even work again much less whether or not we would be able to salvage any of the files from them.Rob arrived at the time we'd agreed upon via email, and began tackling each issue, asking questions of me, and explaining what he was doing each step of the way. I could tell he knew what he was doing; he always seemed to have a workaround to use when something didn't work. He removed some faulty parts and swapped them out to get me back to a working machine, AND was able to salvage all of the files, so nothing was lost. He not only completed a great fix, but he even removed some malware that we had no idea was on there! Rob was very thorough and friendly, and I appreciated that he answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel dumb about computers. I felt very comfortable having him in my home, and would recommend him to anyone having issues with the computer(s) in your home! Thanks, Rob!

Being in the computer business for over 30 years, I have seen many changes and have personally fixed thousands of systems. My name is Rob Star and I am the owner of In Home Computer Repair. My life in electronics started back in the seventies working for my father’s electronics company in Philadelphia and then in Tucson. $95.00 Per Hour (One-hour minimum Charge) $23.75 per quarter hour thereafter.
Our most common bill is for one hour.
Travel Charge
Currently the travel charge is $20.00 in our service area.
Carry-in Service
Carry-in service is by appointment only so please call ahead first and I’ll get you in as soon as possible. If you decide to leave it for large data transfer, the turnaround is normally 1 day. just one day.
Discount Terms and Conditions
Discounts cannot be combined with any other offers. The discount applies only to the first hour of service. Please request the discount at the time of service. This offer is valid for residential customers who are not using the computer(s) for home-based businesses.

FAQ
What if you come out and can’t fix my problem?
It’s rare, but it does happen. If we arrive and determine the cause of the problem, for instance, a piece of bad hardware, you will still be charged for the hour. After all, we still came out there and did the troubleshooting to find your problem. At that point, our technician will recommend your best solution. If it’s not a hardware problem but a software problem i.e. virus or spyware that we’re unable to fix it then no, you will not be charged.
Why are some companies offering lower hourly rates
Be cautious of companies that advertise lower hourly rates, as these often come with a compromise in service quality. There’s a saying that rings true You get what you pay for. We’ve been in this business since the late ’80s, serving thousands of satisfied customers beyond just family and friends. If your goal is simply to level up in World of Warcraft, then a $25.00 per hour technician might suffice. However, if you need your business computer to run smoothly and efficiently, it’s best to avoid the hassle and reach out to us.

We offer a comprehensive 30-day warranty on all our service work.

What is our pricing structure?
For our mobile and remote services, we operate on an hourly rate with a minimum charge of one hour. Even if we finish the job in just 30 minutes, the full hour will still apply. After the initial hour, we then break down the billing into convenient 15-minute increments.
