My name is Rob Star, and I proudly own In Home Computer Repair. My journey in electronics began in the seventies, working alongside my father in his electronics company in Philadelphia and later in Tucson. During those formative years, I honed my skills by building components for Main Frame computers and high-speed printers for IBM. In the late eighties, I founded In Home Computer Repair, balancing it with our family business. My days were split between constructing jet engine test cells and equipment for AlliedSignal and providing network installations and workstation repairs for businesses and individuals across the Valley. In 1998, I transitioned away from the electronics sector to dedicate myself entirely to computers, and I have never looked back.

Being in the computer business for over 30 years, I have seen many changes and have personally fixed thousands of systems. My name is Rob Star and I am the owner of In Home Computer Repair. My life in electronics started back in the seventies working for my father’s electronics company in Philadelphia and then in Tucson. Remote Support & Mobile Service

$100.00 Per Hour (One-hour minimum Charge) $25. per quarter hour thereafter.

Our most common bill is for one hour.

Travel Charge

Currently the travel charge is $25.00 in our service area.

Carry-in Service

Carry-in service is by appointment only so please call ahead first and I’ll get you in as soon as possible. If you decide to leave it for large data transfer, the turnaround is normally 1 day. just one day.

Discounts cannot be combined with any other offers. The discount applies only to the first hour of service. Please request the discount at the time of service. This offer is valid for residential customers who are not using the computer(s) for home-based businesses.

FAQ

What if you come out and can’t fix my problem?

It’s rare, but it does happen. If we arrive and determine the cause of the problem, for instance, a piece of bad hardware, you will still be charged for the hour. After all, we still came out there and did the troubleshooting to find your problem. At that point, our technician will recommend your best solution. If it’s not a hardware problem but a software problem i.e. virus or spyware that we’re unable to fix it then no, you will not be charged.

Why are some companies offering lower hourly rates

Be cautious of companies that advertise lower hourly rates, as these often come with a compromise in service quality. There’s a saying that rings true You get what you pay for. We’ve been in this business since the late ’80s, serving thousands of satisfied customers beyond just family and friends. If your goal is simply to level up in World of Warcraft, then a $25.00 per hour technician might suffice. However, if you need your business computer to run smoothly and efficiently, it’s best to avoid the hassle and reach out to us.

What warranty do your services come with?

We offer a comprehensive 30-day warranty on all our service work.

Sure, our technicians would be happy to, just answer a few questions so they can provide the best possible quote for you.

What is our pricing structure?

For our mobile and remote services, we operate on an hourly rate with a minimum charge of one hour. Even if we finish the job in just 30 minutes, the full hour will still apply. After the initial hour, we then break down the billing into convenient 15-minute increments.
